Origins
The IWDC was founded in 1602 by Galileo. Galileo was greatly interested in the study of wyvernology and had read many of Leonardo di Vinci’s books. His studies took him to the town of Hell in Norway. At the time Hell had a large wyvern population and the towns people where constantly attacked. Galileo used his knowledge of wyverns and his friendship with the wyvern slayer Pocahontas to start what they called at the time the Wyvern Defence Circle which later expanded into the International Wyvern Defence Circle. Since 1917 the decendents of Ugyen Wangchuck have lead the IWDC. The current Head Quarters of the IWDC is at 10 Downing Street in London. IWDC Australia Headquarters are at Oisin's (Ph.D) house, in the garage section.

Current Projects
The IWDC has a few public projects that it is working on. One of these includes a anti-wyvern attack drone. It was designed by Elon Musk who is working with Barack Obama to release these within the next two years. They work by detecting Wyverns and destroying them instantly. The IWDC is also working on stopping a number of growing Wyvern Armies in countries around the World, including Russia, North Korea and Syria. Taylor Swift is also currently helping to promote feminism amongst the youth as a means to protect them from wyvern attacks. This venture has proven to be very successful. Boutros Boutros-Ghali released a report that told of the IWDC’s aim to reduce deaths by wyverns by 50% over the next two decades.
